Connecting Two-Way Radio Repeater Sites Using IP
When dealing with multiple sites using analog two-way radio that are far apart, connecting repeater sites using IP is an easy way to join communications between them.
The process to join sites is fairly simple, multiple gateways can be installed at any repeater site and then connected into a broader IP network. After that, each repeater channel can be linked to one or more remote sites over IP to extend coverage. It doesn’t matter if each of the 4 channels is linked to a single remote repeater or to multiple repeaters at different sites, with a gateway like the IPR400 S2 2in1 Interoperability Gateway and RoIP Gateway the arrangement is adaptable.
