IPR’s Unique Conferencing Mode Overcomes Problems Associated With Multicasting

Overview:
With the use of Radio over IP (RoIP), many organisation are coming across IT conflicts within their existing IP network.

Tower Communications, a key dealer in Wyoming USA, recognised this issue when implementing a multi-repeater solution that would work over the internet.

This was overcome by using Omnitronics’ unique “Conference Mode”. An IPR100 takes audio received from the transmitting radio and converts it to IP data. It is then sent sequentially to each IPR100 interface across the conference mode group. Eliminating the need for Multicasting protocol.
